Message From our President

Dear Aeros:

While we are a licensed charter operator, I have chosen not to charter out my personal jet.  That said, so as to allow potential buyers the opportunity to enjoy the AeroOne "experience" and to keep things fun we have launched our "Come Fly With Us" program.   Here is how it works.   When I or any of our other owners have excess passenger capacity on our upcoming flight segments, these flights will now be posted on our "Come Fly with Us" page. You can now book a seat on a cost share basis, last minute even.  (See below for details).

Speaking of my jet, we just got home from another trip.   The Learjet 35 destroys all Cessnas in speed except for the Citation X (assuming the X is not in the shop, where it seems to prefer to be).   The 35 outperforms all late model light jets both in range and speed.   She is both a rocket ship and time machine.  This is why a substantial fleet of 35s continues to service the U.S. and Australian Airforces (see below.).  This is us cruising from Oklahoma City to Norfolk last week...

That's 1,102 kph.  and yep, at that altitude we were flying at the speed of sound.  After all, time is money.

Taking the leap from charter to jet ownership as I did is a big decision. For those of you who live in the Lower Mainland charter options are thin gruel.  With the sale last week of London Air (LAC) and their dismantling of assets, charter options will decrease while prices will continue to rise.

For the past 25 years, I have been determined to bridge the gap between charter and jet ownership.  I took the leap. Others are now doing it with us. (See jets coming onboard, below).  You can too.

We are here to be creative.  We are here to listen to your needs.   We are here to help.  Talk to us. And please remember, business jets are not a luxury. They are a necessity for people like you and me.

Happy Flying

President's Message Feedback

Question:
an Aero asks why did we not include the capital and fixed operating costs in the Netjets and AeroOne comparative chart for the two city pairs?

Response:
This is a really good question.  We did not include those costs because over a 100  hour annual utilization the costs become less signficant as compared to the deadleg, hold and other extras charged by charter companies over the course of a year.  Those extra charter costs can more than double the overall charter charges expressed in the chart, assuming there is even availability of charter aircraft.  (I recently paid $55,000 for one-way charter flight from Thunder Bay, ON to YVR.   My jet cost would have been $9,200.00. )

YVR RUNWAY MOST RECENT UPDATE (Thursday, September 21, 2023)

YVR Runway 26R revitalization scheduled for Summer 2024 has been postponed.   New start date is yet to be determined.

The slot system previously planned will go ahead with a hard launch scheduled for October 28, 2023.

At this time, it is unclear if the proposed reduction in General Aviation slots will go ahead as planned.

AeroOne, as a founding member of the YVR Committee on this issue, will continue to update you all as soon as more information becomes available.
