AeroOne™ Newsletter
FEBRUARY 2024
In aviation it is not an option to disobey natural laws. When you fight the law of gravity you know who ultimately wins. Each and every time. One of our captains, a senior highly experienced pilot and ex-marine, once mused as we commenced the initial descent into Teterboro in our Gulfstream, "Roger, if both engines flame out and you are on short final at night, turn on the landing lights....if you don't like what you see, turn them off."
At AeroOne we are committed to hiring only the very best people, regardless of their skin color, race, sex, sexual orientation or religion. We understand that in aviation our lives, literally, depend on excellence, competency, skill, experience, and most of all -- common sense. Period.
. . .
This month we are pleased to bring you our Q1/2024 Pre-Owned Private Jet Market Report. The Report has been a work in progress for several weeks and our staff have worked very hard to put it together. We bring you the benefit of independent expert opinions as well as AeroOne's quarter century experience in predicting where the market is headed over the next three years. (We lived through and learned from both the Dot Com aviation market crash and the 2008 downturn). We trust you will find the Report both informative and "to the point".
As well this month, we give you a little taste of what buying from AeroOne gets you--some of the added benefits of working with us.
Finally, please let us know what you think of our program and Newsletter. We always enjoy hearing your comments and suggestions.
Private jets are not a luxury. They are a necessity for successful business people like us all.
Happy Flying,

Message From our President
Dear Aeros:
Last month I suggested that commercial airlines are about to face a reckoning. Well, a number of recently reported events bolster this prediction. Take United Airlines for example. Within the past year United has experienced two near crashes. These close calls were not the result of equipment failure, weather, or air traffic control missteps. Rather, it appears the incidents were a direct result of pilot inexperience, something that is within the control of management. A 777 taking off from Maui abruptly dove and came within 750 feet of plunging into the ocean. A 767 landing in Houston bounced three times and careened into the tarmac causing the fuselage to buckle. The aircraft was rendered a total loss. United is not just any airline. With 944 aircraft, United is the third largest airline in the world and the main gateway to the US for Air Canada loyalty fliers. I used to fly with them often. A few days before writing this newsletter an American Airlines had a similar hard landing incident that sent six people onboard to hospital!
Here are but a few news articles that paint a disturbing picture:
United Hawai incident
United Houston incident
Fox News Report 2021 on woke airlines
NY Post Report 2023
American Airlines recent Maui incident
Is this normal? I hope not. I don't think it is. Are inexperienced DEI hired pilots a contributing factor? The facts have not all come out yet and United is being tight lipped, but you decide.
